CAPITOL HILL, Tarlac City---Instead of joining the long lines at the Department of Foreign Affairs [DFA] in Manila or in San Fernando, Pampanga, Tarlaquenos applying for passports may now go to Metrotown Mall on September 4, according to Nida Duco, head of the Public Employment Service Office [PESO].

The e-Passporting is a regular program of the Provincial Government of Tarlac [PGT].

Applicants must submit their necessary requirements for the processing of their papers to the PESO office located at the provincial capitol. Application forms are also available at Duco’s office.

For new applicants, they should bring with them certified true copy of their birth certificate duly authenticated by the National Statistics Office [NSO] and photocopies of at least two valid IDs.

Those who will be renewing their passport need only to ready a photocopy of their old passport and their two valid IDs. Applicants are no longer required to bring pictures since they will have their pictures taken using e-Passport data-capturing machines on the same day.

Duco reminded that applicants have only until August to submit their application forms and other requirements and inform the public that this is a first come first serve basis. “Dalawang daang aplikante lamang ang mabibigyan ng pagkakataong ito kayat samantalahin na at kumpletuhin ang mga requirements,” explained Duco.

In a statement by Gov. Victor Yap, he said that, “We are bringing services closer to our people like this mission, the mobile passport services, which regularly being undertaken by the PGT and DFA.”---PIO Media Affairs. JSP
