Why Tarlac?
Strategic Location
Tarlac Province is situated at the center of the Central Plains of Luzon, landlocked by four provinces: Nueva Ecija on the east, Pangasinan on the north, Pampanga on the south, and Zambales on the west. It is classified as a first class province with a total land area of 305,345 hectares.
Tarlac City is the most urbanized, in terms of services, and has the largest built-up area. But unlike cities of similar development in the country, it remains to be predominantly agriculture in character as evidenced by the large tracts of agricultural land and open space surrounding the poblacion.
The richness of the Province’s history and the varied classification and of Towns in the Province provides an ideal setting for student-athletes and their teacher-coaches to experience learning through possible guided tours within the Province.
As home to the newly created Tarlac Recreational Park, the Municipality of San Jose also offers varied recreation and eco-tourism opportunities for students and teachers that would participate in the Palaro.
Should there be adequate time for the visitors of the Palaro, Tarlac province also boasts of watershed areas that are found in Mayantoc, San Jose, Capas and Bamban. These municipalities, situated at the western portion of the province.
The province possesses a good number of leisure parks, a large sports complex, and various tourism facilities owned by the private sector such as hotels, inland resorts, a golf course, and restaurants all over the province.
